Low Over the Ripe Field
At harvest time swallows skim just above the wheat, chasing insects stirred up by the evening breeze. It is one of the loveliest sights of a country summer, and we wanted to keep it.
The artwork
Fine sepia pen linework shows barn swallows swooping over golden wheat heads and scattered red poppies. Warm ochre, rust and soft blue washes on cream paper give the scene the feel of an old field study, with the wheat running in a band right round the cup.

Every Eveningwren bird is printed on this same tumbler, so you can simply choose the one you love. Gold and champagne tones in our artwork are printed colour, not metallic foil. Full measurements are on our Size & Care page.
Care
Hand wash only, using warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Not dishwasher safe, which protects the print. Not microwave safe, and please do not freeze it. Clean the straw with a slim straw brush and let everything air-dry.
